The Annapurna Circuit is famously known as one of the world’s greatest trekking routes — but for adventure seekers looking to push boundaries, our Bike in Annapurna Round offers an exhilarating alternative. This high-altitude mountain biking journey combines the thrill of cycling with the raw beauty of Nepal’s Himalayas, taking you from subtropical jungles to windswept Tibetan-influenced valleys in just a matter of days.
Navigate Outdoor’s guided Bike Annapurna Round begins with a full-day cycle to Manang, a traditional Himalayan village rich in culture and stunning views. From there, you’ll explore the Manang region and continue riding through the striking Lower Mustang Valley, home to ancient monasteries, apple orchards, and sweeping arid landscapes unlike anywhere else in Nepal.
The biggest challenge — and highlight — of the Annapurna Circuit bike adventure is the crossing of Thorong La Pass (5,416m). This segment demands physical stamina and mental strength, as cyclists often need to carry or push their bikes up the steeper, snow-covered sections. But the reward is unmatched: from the top, you’ll descend into the sacred village of Muktinath and onward into the dramatic Kali Gandaki River Valley, the world’s deepest gorge.
Our route stays true to the classic trail. The ride kicks off from Beshisahar or Bulbule and winds its way to Beni, taking you through iconic locations like Lupra Valley, Marpha (famous for its apple brandy and pie), Tatopani (known for its natural hot springs), and countless mountain villages that welcome you with warm hospitality and breathtaking backdrops. After reaching Beni, the journey concludes with a scenic drive to Pokhara, where you can unwind by the lakeside and soak in the views of the Annapurna range.
For those looking to extend the experience, this cycling tour can also be combined with our Upper Mustang adventure, offering a rare opportunity to explore the mystical landscapes beyond Kagbeni. Please contact us directly for custom itineraries and combination packages.
