Pisang Peak, rising to 6,091 meters, is one of the most sought-after trekking peaks in Nepal, located just north of the beautiful Manang Valley along the legendary Annapurna Circuit.

This pyramid-shaped peak towers above the Pisang village and offers a thrilling climbing experience for well-acclimatized trekkers and beginner climbers. While some attempt Pisang Peak climbing as a 3–4 day detour from the Annapurna trail, it is critical to be properly acclimatized due to its significant elevation.

The standard route to the summit follows the west ridge, which was successfully climbed by a German expedition in 1955. The trail climbs through alpine pastures to the high camp at around 5,200 meters, after which the ascent becomes more technical. The upper ridge features challenging rock slabs, especially difficult in snowy or wet conditions.

Reaching the summit of Pisang Peak rewards climbers with sweeping panoramic views of the Manang Valley, Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak—a breathtaking Himalayan spectacle.

Pisang Peak is ideal for climbers looking to step into high-altitude mountaineering while combining the adventure with one of the most scenic treks in Nepal. It offers the perfect mix of challenge, altitude, and unforgettable alpine scenery.
